Zimbabwean football star Willard Katsande has revealed that one of his ultimate goals as a coach is to take charge of his former club, Kaizer Chiefs.
Katsande recently began his coaching career after being appointed head coach of Northern Region First Division side Rangers FC in March 2026, in the lower tiers of Zimbabwean football.
However, his first role was short-lived, as he swiftly joined his current side Grant Legacy FC, earlier this month.
Now with his coaching career in full swing, Katsande has outlined his ambitions, revealing that he dreams of returning to Naturena — this time as head coach.
Katsande told the Zimbabwean Fanzone Podcast that his new job is tough, but good.
“I am enjoying it. I don’t want to lie. As I said, I have short-term goals, which are to do well in Zimbabwe football,” shared the former midfielder.

He hopes to be competing in Zimbabwe’s premier league next year.
“After a season or two, I need to be a national team coach. I know there are bigger goals.”
“After that, I will go to Africa, and I will go back to Kaizer Chiefs to be the coach—the first local [Zimbabwean] to coach Kaizer Chiefs.”
Katsande, who holds a CAF A Licence, spent a decade at Chiefs as a player between 2011 and 2021.
