Zimbabwe Warriors left-back Jordan Zemura is on the verge of returning to English football, with Championship side Watford in advanced talks to sign him from Italian Serie A club Udinese.
Reports in England and Italy indicate that Watford are close to completing a deal for the 26-year-old defender, who is expected to join alongside Spanish striker Iker Bravo as the Hornets continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
Zemura joined Udinese on a free transfer from Bournemouth in 2023 and has spent the past three seasons in Serie A, where he established himself as a regular first-team player. However, with his contract entering its final months, the Zimbabwe international appears set for a move back to England.
A return to the English game could provide Zemura with a fresh opportunity to revive his career after gaining valuable experience in one of Europe’s top leagues.
Watford have already recruited defender Omar Traore from Udinese this transfer window and are using their long-standing relationship with the Italian club to bolster their squad as they prepare for another Championship campaign.
The former Bournemouth academy graduate has been a regular fixture for Zimbabwe since making his senior debut and is widely regarded as one of the country’s top exports in European football.
