A hotel linked to Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries founder Prophet Walter Magaya is set to be auctioned after the ministry allegedly failed to settle a debt owed to a Chinese national.
The Sheriff of the High Court of Zimbabwe has ordered the sale in execution of Yadah Hotel, located in Prospect, Harare, following a High Court judgment in favour of a creditor.
The property, owned through Yadah Hotels (Private) Limited, is scheduled to go under the hammer on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 10am at Raylton Sports Club in Harare.
The auction follows a successful civil claim by Chinese national Li Xiu Yun, who obtained a High Court judgment against PHD Ministries over an unpaid debt.
According to the conditions of sale, the execution relates to the ministry’s rights and title to Stand 168 of Prospect, a 3.84-hectare property situated at 168 Smuts Road, Prospect, Waterfalls, Harare.
The property comprises a hotel built to a four-star standard, together with ancillary facilities, several cluster houses or lodges, and a stadium, making it one of the more prominent commercial developments in the area.
Court documents indicate that the property is owned by Yadah Hotels (Private) Limited, a company linked to Magaya’s business interests.
The Sheriff has advised prospective buyers that the property will be sold voetstoots(as is) and subject to the prescribed conditions of sale. The successful bidder will be required to pay the stipulated deposit immediately after the auction, with the balance payable within the period set out in the conditions of sale.
The impending auction represents another legal and financial challenge for businesses associated with Magaya, whose commercial ventures have in recent years faced a series of debt recovery actions and court disputes.
Under Zimbabwean law, a judgment debtor can stop a sale in execution by settling the outstanding debt, together with any accrued interest and legal costs, before the auction takes place. If the debt remains unpaid, the property may be sold to the highest bidder.
Magaya, one of Zimbabwe’s best-known Pentecostal church leaders, has built business interests under the Yadah brand spanning hospitality, real estate, football and manufacturing.
