The State has withdrawn rape charges against Zimbabwean hip-hop artist Holy Ten on Thursrday at the Harare Magistrates Court, due to insufficient evidence.
Holy Ten, 27, was arrested in July 2026 by the Zimbabwe Republic Police following allegations that he raped a 14-year-old girl at a bed-and-breakfast in Hatfield, Harare, on July 20, 2026.
He appeared at the Harare Magistrates Court and was granted US$500 bail with reporting conditions. His case was remanded for investigations to continue and he was remanded to August 27 as investigations continued.
The matter came before Magistrate Francis Mapfumo. The prosecution withdrew the charges completely after investigations failed to unearth sufficient evidence to sustain the prosecution. He is now a free man.
