Zimbabwean youngster Ethan Sutherland has joined English League Two side Exeter City on loan from former Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers for the 2026/27 season.
The move represents another opportunity for the highly rated youngster to gain regular first-team experience away from Wolves as he continues his development in the English football system.
Wolves Academy confirmed the loan move, while also revealing that Sutherland has committed his long-term future to the Championship side by signing a two-year contract extension.
“Good luck to Ethan Sutherland who has today joined League Two side Exeter City on loan until the end of the season,” Wolves Academy said.
“Ethan has also committed his future to Wolves, signing a two-year contract extension.”
The 19-year old Sutherland becomes the latest Zimbabwean prospect at the club to secure a loan move after Leon Chiwome recently joined Colchester City on a temporary deal.
The loan spells are expected to provide the youngsters with valuable exposure to competitive senior football, while allowing Wolves to monitor their progress before making decisions about their long-term futures.
The latest development means Zimbabwe continues to have a notable presence within the Wolves setup, although the immediate challenge for Sutherland and Chiwome will be to make the most of their respective loan spells and force their way into stronger contention at their parent club.
