ZB Financial Holdings has appointed Arthur Matsaudza as the new Chief Executive Officer of ZB Bank, with effect from October 1, 2026, as the financial services group moves to accelerate the bank’s digital transformation and strengthen its position in Zimbabwe’s rapidly evolving financial technology sector.

Matsaudza brings more than 17 years of leadership experience spanning banking, fintech and telecommunications, with experience across several African markets.

His appointment comes at a time when Zimbabwe’s banking sector is undergoing significant technological change, with financial institutions increasingly investing in digital platforms, mobile money, data-driven services and alternative channels to reach customers.

ZB Financial Holdings said Matsaudza’s experience would support the bank’s strategic ambition of moving beyond traditional banking and expanding into fintech and innovative financial services.

Matsaudza joins ZB Bank after serving as the founding Managing Director of O’mari, Old Mutual’s standalone fintech venture.

Under his leadership, O’mari grew from an initial concept into a multi-market digital financial services ecosystem offering digital wallets, mobile money, insurtech and lending solutions.

The experience is expected to be particularly valuable to ZB Bank as it seeks to deepen its digital offering and respond to changing customer expectations around convenience, speed and accessibility.

Before leading O’mari, Matsaudza served as Group Executive for Digital and Data at Old Mutual, where he was responsible for overseeing digital transformation initiatives across the group’s African operations.
