Hip-hop artiste Holy Ten has arrived at the Harare Magistrates’ Court  where he is expected to appear in a case involving allegations of raping of a 14-year-old girl.
It is understood the husky-voiced artist met the teenager on social media, while she was staying in South Africa. He allegedly promised to feature her in his upcoming music videos.

The girl returned to Zimbabwe and on Monday, called Holy Ten and told him she wanted to come to his Samanyanga studio.

She went to the studio in Avondale with a friend, where Holy Ten was recording. After he finished, her friend left and Holy Ten allegedly took the girl to his house in Hatfield for what he said was for a “video shoot”

It is alleged that he took her to his bedroom, locked the door, and raped her once. It is further alleged that he threatened to kill her if she resisted.

The self-styled “leader of the youth” then allegedly hired a taxi for her to go home. When she arrived home, she told her aunt what had happened, and the matter was reported to police.

The case is expected to be one of the most closely followed stories in the country when the case starts at the Harare Magistrates Court this morning. It is highly likely to be a routine remand as bail for rape is applied at the High Court. He is likely to be remanded in custody
